Breeding Champions, Showing Champions & Selling Champions
Kunekune Preserve is winning in the show ring. At the July Eastern Kune show & Sale in PA our KKP bred "Drake" (Boris x Jenny) won the 6 mons & under Boar class then was Jr. Boar Champion. "Annie" (Jenny x Andrew) won her 6 - 12 mos class and was Reserve Jr. Sow Champion. Then in August at the 1st Annual AKBA Show in CA our KKP Silhouette (Wilson Gina x Tonganui) won the aged Sow class and was 2nd in the Classic Head. Silhouette is owned by ORF in CA. Kunekune Preserve, USA has one of the most genetically diverse herds of Kunekune Pigs in the country. Our boar bloodlines include: Tonganui, Boris, TeWhangi, Andrew, Mahia Love, and Tutaki. The sow bloodlines include: Aria Giani, Kereopa, Wilson Gina, Rona, Jenny and Rebecca Gina. With these diverse genetics breeding for the confirmation correct Kune will be exciting. By keeping a large herd we can select from various boar and sow lines to achieve the classic Kune. With all the newest lines in the U.S. it is becoming more important to check pedigrees as well as the line name of the pigs.
